All member Faith-Based and other organizations shall be evaluated on the characteristics of the whole institution ----not only the religious training programs but also areas such as student services, financial condition, administration and supervision effectiveness; and equitable treatment of learners, faculty, and staff.  Accreditation status certifies that an institution has met the standards of C.C.E. and that it:….

 

  • has well-defined and appropriate purposes
  • has the resources needed to accomplish its purpose
  • can demonstrate that it is accomplishing its purpose
  • gives reason to believe that it will continue to accomplish its purposes

       and maintains responsibilities for all its activities

·          clearly stated mission, goals, and objectives appropriate to the institutions resources and the needs of its constituents

·          humane and equitable policies for dealing with learners, staff and faculty

·          programs and courses which develop abilities to form independent judgment, to weigh values, to understand fundamental theory, and to live in a culturally diverse world

·          an outline of curricula which provide, emphasize, or rest upon ecclesiastical education, and (if any) professional, technical, vocational, or occupational requirements

·          persistent attention to the relation between goals and outcomes

·          clearly stated admissions policy and related to the goals and resources of the institution; with information about course contribution requirements, aid, and refunds openly available

·          counseling sensitive to the religious, education, personal, and career needs and aspirations of students

·          clear definition of ecclesiastical, administrative, and supervision responsibilities within a secure framework of  ecclesiastical freedom

·          faculty with professional qualifications appropriate to the mission, goals, and procedures, of the institution committed to continuous intellectual and professional development

·          organization and administration which facilitate teaching and learning and foster their improvement

·          a governing board actively fulfilling its responsibilities of policy, mission, and resource development

·          perceptive, imaginative, and on-going institutional self-study and planning procedures aimed at intensifying effectiveness in ecclesiastical education

·          physical facilities (if any) and library/learning resources (if any) appropriate to the requirements and nature of the institution’s programs and functions

·          stability of resources to maintain the quality of instruction and services and assure their continuity

·          honesty and accuracy of the institution’s publications and public relations ( Truth in Advertising)
